Comparing and Contrasting Occupancy Sensor with Motion Sensor

The main difference between an occupancy sensor and a motion sensor is the level of sensitivity. Thus, while both serve as sources of saving energy and money, occupancy sensors are cheaper than motion sensors. Such places include filling areas, corridors, classrooms, restrooms, warehouses, conference rooms, storage areas, break rooms, etc. On the other hand, motion sensors are more suitable for home or hotel use. Since they can be used to notify, you can use them to alert you regarding your pets or with context to trespassing and security breaches. You can also employ them to alarm you if you have a small kid to take care of.

Thus, both the sensors are important in their unique ways. However, while motion sensors are a better option for personalized use, occupancy sensors are better for general use.
