   · PIR sensors: there is a pyroelectric sensor inside the device that works on different levels of heat detection and measures infrared radiations in the presence of humans as they have a temperature that is different from that of the background.

   · Environmental sensors: these include temperature, CO2 and humidity sensors that detect temperature change in the environment when a human arrives.

   · Ultrasonic sensors: they are like radar and work on the Doppler shift principle, which changes its frequency depending on the observer. The sensor sends ultrasonic waves in a particular area and checks for all the reflected patterns. These patterns change when there is occupancy or lights are turned on.

   · Smart meters: they detect the power consumption patterns in both occupied as well as vacant states. 

Besides these, there are audio detection sensors and switches that are door operated that turn on and off as individuals go in and out of the room without even touching them. They have made the lives of individuals so much easier and less complicated. 

How does it work?

The occupancy sensors utilize different technologies and automatically trigger responses in a building system representing a body visually. As humans radiate heat, sensors detect heat from a static point, even measuring all the micro-movements and vibrations created as individuals breathe. Thus, they provide a complete level of protection and security and ensure the very little impact of all the external conditions usually deployed in all the concepts that include indoor spaces.
